The Comfort Inn I-17 & I-40 consistently receives positive feedback, praised for its unique rustic lodge atmosphere, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, complimentary breakfast, and convenient location near I-17 and I-40, particularly during inclement weather. While some have noted occasional noise and limited amenities, the overall experience is considered a pleasant and reliable option for travelers.
We loved our stay here. The hotel is pet-friendly, and the pet fee was very reasonable. Our experience truly exceeded expectations. The front desk and staff were welcoming, and check-in was smooth and effortless. After a long 12-hour drive, all we wanted was a good night’s rest and we got exactly that. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of satisfying options. My mom, who really enjoys her breakfast time, loved it so much. This stay became such a sweet memory for us. Bravo to the Comfort Inn team!
Excellent service! Place was very clean and organized. We will definitely be making this our “go to” when in Flagstaff. We came in pretty late (after midnight) and Ashley was the young woman who helped us. She was kind, professional, and efficient. My mom and I had been driving for quite some time and needed to rest. Ashley understood this and made the process to get us a room (we didn’t have reservations)and checked in fast and easy so that we could get to bed. You all should know, when I walked into this lobby, I was frustrated because being a Hilton honors member for over 15, the man across the street at the Hampton wouldn’t even make the effort to get us a room or direct us to another Hampton, he was very dismissive and unprofessional. I believe he was sleeping in the back (I rang the doorbell 4 times before he opened the doors) so when I walked into the lobby here at this Choice hotel, I was expecting the same response from Ashly. I was wrong! THANK YOU ASHLEY! So, my family and I will be choosing choice hotels in the future over Hampton because of our experience with Ashley.
Service was absolutely fantastic and the workers are helpful. The room is awesome to and there was no bed bugs or bugs around the room. They also give free breakfast in the morning. AND THERE WAS BACON! Sadly they changed the breakfast and served sausages instead of bacon the next day. We did the spa and you should do it too! Location was at the end of the I-17 which was pretty near the Lowell Observatory.
This was an unexpectedly beautiful and peaceful setting! Definitely not your average Comfort Inn. First, Bonnie is an exceptional manager; always going above and beyond and wherever assistance was needed (front desk, kitchen, dining, assisting other guests and/or employees, etc.). Bonnie was quietly everywhere and problem solving any issue with a genuine "can do" spirit or simply offering a pleasant hello to guests and employees alike. This building is really solid and well built. Our room was so unbelievably quiet. Sure, we would occasionally walk down the corridor to our room hearing a roomful of crying children or a dog bark (they allow pets) but step into our room and heard NOTHING!!!! I don't know if it was the solid doors in addition to good insulation but we slept like babies at night. The dining room felt more like a ski lodge with the fire going 24/7 and huge windows with views of the pine trees that surround the hotel. The hotel sits atop a hill and looks down upon the Woodland Village. It was surprisingly picturesque. Its a non-smoking property, smells fresh and not with cleaning products or an overuse of Febreze products just simply fresh. The place is spotless! Its wonderful to be in a setting where pride in maintaining standards (customer service to cleanliness and decor) is definitely practiced. It really showed at this location and this place really shined in the middle of a bustling Christmas holiday. The holiday decor was also very lovely!!!
My wife and I have stayed in this hotel for many years now and it’s always been our go to spot when traveling out west! We’ve always looked forward to the Flagstaff stop but this time was much different! The area has become very busy with traffic, people and panhandling! The apartments located behind the hotel have never been an issue but seeing the shady characters standing near the fence constantly made us a little uncomfortable. Luckily we were on the far end of the hotel but I felt bad for folks staying on the other end. I don’t fault the hotel for this but travelers need to be aware of this fact when booking a stay. The rooms were ok. The breakfast used to be calm and relaxing. We always enjoyed getting down there early, grabbing a quick bite and watching the sunrise! This time was so crowded and busy we ended up eating quickly and taking our coffee back to the room. We were so very disappointed in our stay here and probably won’t be booking again. It’s unfortunate because we used to love it so much!
Really nice for the price stay! Dog friendly. Parking is secure and secluded from the near by traffic. Breakfast was great. Cool lodge feel in the common area. 5 stars, would stay again
Location is excellent; very close to I-17 and I-40. It was a nice and comfortable room. Everything you'd expect out of a 2-star hotel. If you let the AC/fan run continuously, it helps to drown out the road noise and any neighbor noise (water running, TV on, talking, etc.) although the fan itself can seem loud for white noise. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I wish there would've been a body wash dispenser in the shower instead of having to use the little bar soaps. Breakfast choices were decent as well (scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, bread, bagels, yogurt, waffle maker, muffins). Tables did fill up quickly on a weekday.
My stay at this hotel was nothing short of overwhelming—in the best way possible! The check-in process was smooth and quick, with the night-shift front desk staff going above and beyond by recommending Karma Sushi Bar and Grill for dinner. We followed their suggestion, and the sushi was absolutely delicious! The room was spotless, with a perfectly functioning refrigerator, A/C, and television. The bed sheets were clean, comfortable, and inviting after a long day. As a runner, I was thrilled to find plenty of sidewalks in the area, making it easy to enjoy a safe morning jog without dodging traffic. The complimentary breakfast the next day was delightful, offering a great variety to start the day right. For a one-day stay during my road trip, this hotel exceeded all expectations and has my highest recommendation!
I’ve had the pleasure of staying at this hotel a couple of times over the last year, and both times I’ve been a great experience. This is a rather unique Comfort Inn, with its own rustic, charms, and great Flagstaff theme. Definitely not like others in the collection, which is a very good thing. Check in is always a breeze, and they’ve recently invested in brand new luggage carts, which are much easier to navigate around the hotel. Rooms are always clean, and have great views of the beautiful pine trees that surround the hotel. Breakfast is always very good, as well. For me, the biggest piece of any stay is a good bed, and Comfort Inn is always my go to when it comes to an expectation of good sleep. Really comfortable and I actually sleep the whole night through, which is rare for me in a hotel. This hotel is also very close to city center, meaning we have a lot of restaurant choices so it makes eating very easy, and we are, of course, only one hour from the Grand Canyon, which is an even bigger benefit. Highly recommend!
Great first stop on our 10 day trip all over Arizona! My husband and I flew in from Alabama, drove 2 hours, and were very pleased with the easy check-in at Comfort Inn and Suites in Flagstaff. The staff were always kind and helpful on our 4 night stay. The bed was comfortable, room and property were clean, and shower had good water pressure. Coffee was always available and very good. Breakfast was good with a good variety each morning. We loved the warm coziness of the fireplace and large den area adjacent to the breakfast area and front desk. We would definitely stay here again and have already told others about this great hotel!
