Despite excellent service and a fantastic location near downtown Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon, guests consistently report the property is outdated, unclean, and in severe need of renovation, calling the value into question.

I went there for a school trip from high school and it wasn't bad. It was nearby everything and I enjoyed the rooms even though I couldn't open the windows. The breakfast had a lot of options to choose. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I wanted to go to Flagstaff again. I tried to take as many pictures as I can but almost all of them came out blurry.

We love to stay at Embassy Suites when we can and this isn't the nicest one we've stayed at. I agree with the others that it is an older building, but didn't notice mold in our room likw many reported - there was missing grout around the shower, but it was clean from what I can tell. One of the major draws for us is their made to order omelets for breakfast - found it odd that they were served in paper plates, which isn't what we're used to, but still delicious. Not as much fresh fruit selection, yogurt bar, and waffle stations were empty. We did stay on Monday and Tuesday and they werent very busy, so maybe that's why?

The description says, "...polished all suite hotel..." I disagree. The rooms are neglected, the furniture is old and worn with fraying threads and discoloration from years of use. There's significant rust on the bathroom fan in the room we had and a piece of a baseboard just fell off. The employees are stellar and really show up. I have the utmost respect for them. The location is fantastic regarding proximity to freeways. At the same time, we parked in a well lit area, and there was broken glass from a car that had been broken into. As it is a budget option and we were there during the Holidays, the breakfast buffet was overrun with families. A lot of mess left on tables and the carpet, kids running about in a space where there's just not a lot of room. I appreciated having a place to stay. The room had a feeling of despair. I don't think guests should have to accept neglected rooms as the standard in exchange for a reasonable price point. The holiday decorations were nice.

Wonderful Stay at Embassy Suites Flagstaff! I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Flagstaff right before Christmas, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay feel warm and personal during the holiday season. I really enjoyed the evening happy hour — such a great touch — and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing. It’s rare to find a hotel breakfast that feels this fresh and generous. The whole stay was comfortable, relaxing, and exactly what I needed. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Flagstaff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service, great amenities, and a genuinely pleasant hotel experience.

Great location, adequately priced, spacious rooms buuut...the hotel is in serious need of an update. Everything is so worn and dated. The whole hotel was so hot and the thermostat wasn't working so we ended up just opening a window. Holes in the carpets. The waffle station doesn't get wiped down. They clean the floor and the top of the counter but not the batter splashed all over the doors and side. The staff are friendly though and theres a good bar. It was closed when we were there but they gave us a free drink from the onsite store which is nice. The pull out sofa is terrible! I could feel the metal bars underneath. The kids didn't feel it so if you weight more than 50 lbs don't sleep on that.

Well Embassy Suites markets itself as an upscale property with breakfast included, but this location falls well short of that promise. The hotel feels tired and overdue for investment. My room showed visible wear: stains on the sofa, a smoke detector that had been blocked, and fixtures coming loose from the walls. These are the kinds of issues housekeeping should flag for maintenance, yet they appear to have gone unnoticed. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. Embassy Suites is known for its made-to-order omelet station, which was closed during my stay. Food options were extremely limited—scrambled eggs and pancakes that were dense, overcooked, and frankly unappetizing. The waffle station was closed, there was no hot cereal, no fresh fruit, and very little variety overall. It was a breakfast experience I would expect from a budget motel, not a Hilton-branded property. That said, the bed was comfortable, and with proper upkeep this could be a very nice hotel. Unfortunately, in its current condition, I would recommend looking at one of the other nearby options instead. Well now I need to find somewhere to go get breakfast.

I am glad this is not my first stay at Embassy Suites. This location is NOT your typical Embassy Suites. This facility is terrible! It's a comfortable temp in the hallways, but when we opened the door to room 303 we walked into a room with a temp of approx. 85? or more. The thermostat was set on 65? and heat was still blowing out the vents. We turned the heater to the "off" position. The front desk clerk said she would send maintenance up while we were at the mgr's reception. Maintenance could try and open a window. Maintenance came, and turned the thermostat back on and set it to 70?. Laughing, but not laughing. The heat is either continuously on, or is off. There is nothing in between. The furniture is nasty. I really don't even want to sit on the couch/chair. The carpet is stained. There is mold in the shower. I've got the heater back in the "off" position, and finally was able to get the windows partially open. There is a lot of street noise, but the room is cooling off. Tonight's low will be 28?. Over the years, I have stayed at many Hiltons and Embassy Suites, and they are typically EXCELLENT. I LOVE Hilton & especially Embassy Suites, but this facility is the exception. The hotel is booked full due to college graduation ceremonies tomorrow, and unfortunately, other hotels in Flagstaff are also booked full. We are 3 families staying here tonight (3 rooms). Two of the three families have Hilton Diamond Status, and frequently stay at Hilton's Brand of Hotels. I was so confident in Embassy Suites that it never dawned on me to read reviews before I booked it. This was a BIG surprise! The location is scheduled for an update during the next three months, but in the mean time, Embassy Suites should not have their name on this location. I booked here because of the name and what it represents. To me, using the name at this location is false advertising.

Foremost, I want to say this review has nothing to do with the staff. They were very polite and kind to us. This location is in desperate need of renovation, which the staff has stated is currently in progress. It's a combination of outdated, and poorly maintained. The couches were far too disgusting to even want to lay a towel on to sit. There were small amount of what appeared to be mold in the corners of the bathroom. The walls are marked up and chipped. There was rust on some of the metal pieces in the bathroom (fan cover, etc). The phone in our room didn't even have internal parts. It was literally just the shell of a once functional phone (shown in pictures) To top it all off, the TVs are outdated and do not provide the ability to watch anything but a few channels or local cable. First world problems, but not having a smart TV in 2025-2026 seems very "behind" for me. After being in the room for about an hour, we decided not to stay and relocated to the Fairfield nearby, which was much nicer and more up to date. Highly recommend avoiding this hotel, as it doesn't offer cheaper rates than some of the nicer options in the area. The only upside to this place was the nice workers at the front desk, and the proximity to everything in Flagstaff. Honestly , these pics don't even do it justice, it was pretty rough. Also to note, this room was an "upgrade".

The room was run down and needs updating. The door to the bathroom was damaged on both sides, and was poorly painted over. The same with the slider door to the bedroom. It looks like someone put their fist thru the door, and maintenance did a poor job of patching it up. The bed was uncomfortable, and the couch was worn out. We were on the first floor, and there was no sheer privacy curtain. Only the black out curtains. On arrival, as we were settling in, we noticed there was no hand soap (bar or liquid) at the sink. My husband asked at the front desk for some, and was told, “to use the shower gel in the shower. We are out, and have to order more”. I find this unacceptable. My husband ended up going to Dollar Tree to get some hand soap.

Convenient location, good breakfast and the employees were terrific however......the place is really long in the tooth! As a long time diamond/gold member it's Real disappointing. The double beds were worn out we roll to the middle , WIFE SLEPT ON COUCH, the furniture arms and were soiled, black mold in shower area, towel rack falling off wall, Kleenex tissue plugging hole next to fire sprinkler in ceiling, lamp cord plug sheared off in receptacle in wall, TV remote in sitting area did not work, broke door glass in pool and spa area, pool and spa dirty and closed and the deep open repair trench in pool area wasn't secured properly and the place was generally in disrepair. Someone is going to get hurt. Not even sure how Hilton approves of the place.
