La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Flagstaff East I-40 receives mixed reviews, with some praising its cleanliness, location, and value, while others express concerns about dirty rooms, poor service, and inconsistent information from staff. Issues with amenities, elevator noise, and overbooking have also been reported, particularly regarding Wyndham’s booking policies.
The rooms are clean, the price is right, the staff is very friendly and helpful. But there's a few little things that keep it from being 5 stars. Coin laundry? If you have to charge, let me use the room key. Miscommunicated on the room reservation, but the staff fixed. Compared to the my value hotel chain, everything's a little smaller. A little more fake feeling. But everything is serviceable, and this is still a pretty good value.
I found this hotel to be very clean and very accommodating. The staff is outstanding specifically, Dion and Jessica. Not only did they make sure I had the perfect room, they really cared about my well-being and my stay at the hotel. Thank you for being such awesome individuals. The Hotel is very lucky to have you and they should give you a raise.
we would give this review a lower rating, but Xavier’s service and quick thinking as well as the older gentleman’s service in the morning helped turn around our experience. anyways, we booked this hotel because it had good reviews and the pictures looked great. it was our last leg of our journey home and we were ready for a clean and safe place to settle in for our last night. unfortunately upon arrival this hotel was dirty and overloaded with people. the comforter was dirty, stained and torn and the floors were torn up like someone took a knife to them. the hotel was totally booked so even though it wasn’t very late in the evening we were told we couldn’t switch rooms. there was no housekeeping on duty so Xavier (the young man working the front desk) came up and changed our sheets himself, bless him (!!! seriously, give this kid a raise) walls are thin, TV is quiet, breakfast was picked through, super long wait for elevators, there was water all over the floors in hallways and elevators from pool goers etc. there was a powerful funky smell everywhere in the hallways and elevator. i had a terrible la quinta experience in 2022 and have not shut up about it. i also had a horrible experience at the courtland grand hotel in ATL this year, also operated by Wyndham. despite my better judgment (and because it was a busy weekend) i booked this hotel anyways. i do NOT have a good impression of Wyndham hotels at this point. thankfully we were able to get some money taken off our stay, but $180+ is a complete rip off for this accommodation and since we left with a fear of bedbugs, i could not in good faith recommend staying here.
Rooms and hotel facility was nice and clean and location was perfect. You have to pay for wifi though which is a big bummer. Reply to the hotel: Unfortunately, that is absolutely not what we were told at check-in by the gentleman at the front desk. He clearly explained that in order to have Wi-Fi access, guests must be members with a specific status level, and that even if we were to join during our stay, we would not be able to reach the required status to receive access. It would be advisable and helpful to ensure that your staff provide accurate and consistent information to guests.
Worst place EVER. If there was -5 star you'd absolutely earned it. Room was 90 mins past check in time for starters, front desk clerk literally tells us "We dont know when your room will be ready" at 311pm. He shared with us that housekeeping quit the night before which immediately your sketched as to Room cleaniness. I attempted to cancel before check in but we were told we paid thru Expedia so they cannot refund. When we get keys at 422pm we get to room and it smelled of feces. Since room was not cleaned we go to Walmart and buy cleaning supplies and finish their job. After approximately 4 hours my family cannot take the smell anymore and we grabbed a cart, packed our bags and left hotel. Room 203 (Superior room) was absolutely unacceptable. I get home from most most expensive half day vacation ever and file return thru Expedia and they say this. Hello Chris, We’re following up regarding your request to adjust your reservation without penalty. Request type: refund Itinerary number: 73324008593690 Property name: La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Flagstaff East I-40 After contacting the property, they’ve decided to uphold the original cancellation policy and have declined the waiver request. We understand this may be disappointing. Hotels often have strict policies in place, and unfortunately, there’s nothing else we can do in this case. If you still wish to cancel or change your booking, you can do so online or through the app. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out. We’re truly sorry there wasn’t more we could do to help in this case. Sincerely, Jason B. Expedia US Travel Team Somebody is lying, why would you tell Expedia you will not cancel room and give my money back? Im not going away, this is being escalated and I will not let you people take my money for a room that smelled like that. You know you had MANY complaints on Sunday December 29th regarding smell, your lobby was packed. Ill be seeing you real soon.
was very disappointed with the service. It’s winter, and the hot tub was completely cold. When I asked at the front desk, the staff told me that the maintenance person who “turns it on” was not available because it’s Christmas. That is unacceptable. A hotel that receives many guests during the holiday and winter season should have essential amenities working, especially the hot tub. The only response I received was that “there’s nothing they can do,” which shows poor planning and poor customer service. Guests pay for amenities that should be available regardless of the day.
The stay was very enjoyable great location. Breakfast was good. The only thing I would ask for is a sign that asks pet owners to please wash their hands before serving themselves food. Witnessed multiple pet owners pet their dogs and then go serve themselves food handling the utensils and the covers for the food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that has business or pleasure in Flagstaff.
Great nights rest. Right off the highway. It is next to a road but our room was bottom floor by the main road and we never heard the cars. Beds were comfy. They have free breakfast with a waffle maker and other things - it was all delicious.
Very nice lobby and breakfast area, good breakfast choices, nice staff. Rooms are good size, clean bathrooms. Carpet in the room could get exchanged for laminate/wood. One complaint I have is the noise and trembling we felt whole night. I couldn't figure out what it was, could it be from all the loud AC units?? It felt like a big truck idling next to you and you can hear it and feel under your feet. Hopefully, this was the case just in our room... (2nd floor, right off the elevator). All in all, would recommend it and would stay here again.
Room and location was nice. Upgraded King had a kitchen with fridge and dishwasher. There were some dishes but no eating utensils at all, so what's the point. Shower was only warm, and got cool, and such low pressure was difficult to rinse. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were bad. I stayed here because I travel with my German shepard and the cost suggested it would be nicer.
