The DoubleTree by Hilton Flagstaff consistently receives positive feedback for its comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location. Guests appreciate the warm cookies offered at the front desk and the cleanliness of the property. However, some recent reviews have highlighted issues with noise levels and inconsistent service, particularly regarding breakfast inclusions and room maintenance.
Love the Double Tree & this location is perfect. It's away from the hustle & bustle which makes it pretty quiet. Rooms are clean. I like the fact they provide shampoo, conditioner, & bodywash. The view from the room was just so Beautiful.
The hotel was very nice and clean. The front desk service was courteous and helpful. I was in the room next to the ice machine so there was added foot traffic outside my door. The major problem I encountered was that the cleaning staff knocked on my door at 9:00am to ask me if I needed anything before checkout. Exact words. I am paying for a room until checkout at 11:00. You do not need to pressure me to be up and gone around 9:00. I am now retired and on vacation, if I want to sleep in, I will. Furthermore, if I needed a wake up call I am fully capable of setting my alarm or calling the front desk for one. Do not interrupt your guests to pressure them into leaving hours before checkout.
The front desk associate was very nice and the cookies were good. Unfortunately the room was never peaceful as we could hear every noise of the others down the hall, including them opening soda cans. We didn't get much sleep either night due to noise and each morning we were woken up very early with loud doors slamming repeatedly and even though we put the "later please" sign on the door, housekeeping tried opening our door which was startling
Amazing hotel for our little family. Staff was above and beyond. All welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great for a hotel breakfast, my kids loved it. Breakfast vouchers are worth the price. Only thing was our bathtub had hair strands from previous guests, could have been cleaned better. Still we high recommend. Looking forward to coming back here again.
This was a very strange hotel. Dim in the halls and reception area. They gave us a room in the older part of the hotel that was under construction. The room seemed like it hard been used in a long time or cleaned- dusty on the furniture and pink mold in the shower. I could share an experience I had that makes me beleive the hotel is haunted but it's a lot to type. We were supposed to stay for 2 night left at 7 am after the first night.
I would not stay here based on my experience, and it was not good. First, I paid $30 extra for the room for 'Breakfast Included' which they advertise when booking the room for just myself. What they do not tell you is the 'Breakfast Included' only includes 1 entree and 1 drink. They charged me extra for my milk and orange juice on top of the two egg entree and coffee that I ordered. In other words, breakfast is not all included - only part of your breakfast. And they do not mention it on their website when booking - it's very misleading! They surprise you when you go to get your breakfast and they hand you a voucher for 1 entree. To sum it up, I paid an extra $30/night to have 'Breakfast Included' and to be charged extra for milk and orange juice with my breakfast. Also, the door to my room doesn't seal properly as I can literally see into the hallway from inside the room with the door closed. There is a 1/4" gap between the door and the door jam. I had to stuff the open area with a towel to prevent light and also to keep anyone from looking into the room if they wanted (pictures included). I know the hotel management will respond with their typical empathy and state to contact Hilton, but paying customers expect more from Hilton. I will not be staying here ever again!
We've been coming here for four years to visit the snow. We were lucky enough to come few days before Christmas and the hotel was decorated so beautifully. They have two restaurants in the hotel. We've only tried the American one but next time we'll try the Japanese one. We've only eaten in the American style for breakfast and dinner. They are delicious and wait staffs are just wonderful. Warm Cookies after dinner "perfection". I had to give 4 stars because our toilet paper holder was hanging from a hole. It was disappointing since I would think house keeping would have seen it. Every time we come to this hotel the rooms are always perfect. Yes they are old but it's always clean and nothing is broken. Other than toilet paper holder the room, hotel staffs, restaurant and the cookies were ?????. Thank you and see you next year ??. We just found guest laundry in the third floor. Awesome!!!
This is the first time I’ve ever given a Hilton such a bad rating and I’m an honors member When I checked in, I had needed a belt cart one was behind the front desk. They told me I couldn’t use that one. They will find me one after a weight of 30 minutes. I got tired and just took several trips up to my room now getting into the room . Our view was terrible as seen on photographed. I was there with my family and we all needed showers disappointing the drain would not drain so we had to wait till the water drained out reported this to front desk said it was going to be fixed. Never did. I have to say this was the worst experience at this Hilton I’ve ever had and we were on vacation stayed there 2 nights
This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property as I come for medical appointments. I have stayed at 3 or 4 other hotels and all were rather underwhelming. The rooms at the Double Tree are extremely clean and well maintained. The staff…front desk, housekeeping, maintenance…are professional, courteous, and make our stays more enjoyable. The beds are incredibly comfortable as are the pillows which is a rare find these days. The products provided in the bathroom are good quality and do not irritate my sensitive skin. They accommodate my service dog and even give him a goodie bag with treats, poop bags, and local resources for pets. The back of the property has a wooded area which is nice to walk my pup but it also provides a relaxing atmosphere. I will continue to return to Flagstaff for medical appointments and I will be staying here for all future visits.
I planned on staying here for 1 night and ended up being here for 5 nights. The customer service is phenomenal, amazing room service, great hot tubs and sauna, and super cozy comfy rooms. Also love the fireplace. This is where you should stay if you’re in Flagstaff. Best hotel I’ve ever been to. SLAY!
