The positive was that we each had our own basically comfortable bedroom. The location was perfect for our travels but would never stay at a Sonesta again. The dishwasher was disgusting, the cookware was dirty and and basically unusable, the TV's had no instructions on how to use, the couch was stained, torn, and had an unclean odor. The young man that checked us in was pleasant and helped as much as he could. The manager in the morning was uncaring about our experience. Don 't stay here unless you are desperate.

Overall, my stay at Sonesta ES Suites Flagstaff was very pleasant. The hotel is well equipped, with spacious rooms and a fully functional kitchenette including a refrigerator and microwave, which is especially convenient for families or longer stays. The service was a standout—staff members were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the stay. From check-in to any requests we had, everything was handled promptly and professionally, which really enhanced the overall experience. One small drawback is that the hotel’s decor and furnishings feel a bit dated. While everything was clean and well maintained, the overall look could benefit from some modernization to match newer properties. That said, this is still a comfortable, well-equipped hotel with excellent service and strong value for the price. A solid four-star experience and definitely worth recommending.

Thought I’d stay at this hotel what a bait and switch hotel they show you one thing and they deliver. We went this Sunday.and had a king bed with a pullout couch oh my God, couldn’t believe the state of this bed absolutely stained with P or something how disgusted it was I I went to the front desk and asked for some fresh sheets. There was no sheets ask the guy behind the front desk. Could we have some pillows? He says there is no pillows to be hard excuse me I said he says there is no pillows in a stern voice. Ok I will never stay at this establishment ever again so disappointed specially when my friends have stayed at Son‘s before and said they had a great day totally disgusting and rude people. don’t forget about the carpet it was absolutely damp when I walked in and the ceiling was black. I really didn’t appreciate staying at this hotel and breathing whatever they have there no other rooms available. this is worse than the last hotel I stayed at one star rating hotels disgusting. are used to clean hotel rooms and I would’ve been fired if I had the hotel like this.

I usually stay in Sedona but it was raining for a few days and I decided to just save money and stay in flagstaff. I arrived on November 18th 2025 around 9pm and the front desk guy was very nice. It was a smooth check in. I went to my room which had a kitchen living room and fireplace (not that is used it or had wood) tv with all the channels and a sofa. The bed was nice and it seemed like a wonderful apartment or place to stay for the night. It was cozy and warm and the bedding was great. I was so happy with my stay there and the very nice staff I dealt with. I will definitely stay there again on my travels through. It was snowing when I left and I was just very happy with the whole experience.

Rooms felt a lot older and dirtier than expected based off pictures. Definitely had feces and blood or something on the walls. One of the nights, we had the cool air on but it felt like the heat and we were burning up all night even after turning it off. It would not cool down. Something was wrong with the unit. Breakfast was decent and staff were nice. Rooms were huge. Dont know if I'd stay here again

Pretty good overall. Super friendly staff, convenient location. Had two of the same rooms, yet one was way nicer than the other. One was just super dirty and rugged. The other was way cleaner and seemed to have nicer furniture, though the kitchen sink was leaking. Mason was extremely nice and helpful with accommodating some of our needs and fixes! So thank you for that. Would come again

Always love to stay at Sonesta. Room and property slightly run down. Bar stools brown on top from people's hands. Dust and dead bugs in and on top of light fixtures. Bed clean, bathroom clean. Over all great for price.

This was the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The room wasn’t ready at 4p for check in so we had to wait. When we got into the room is wreaked of bleach and raid spray. The carpet in the living room was damp and absolutely disgusting. The couch was deteriorating and so loud when you sat on it. We didn’t even dare to see what the pullout couch even looked like. The amount of bird droppings outside of the rooms was insanity and likely not up to health codes. The water was intermittently warm, could barely take a hot shower. The guest bedrooms were so hot as if the a/c wasn’t in those rooms, we had to sleep with the doors open to get air into those rooms. The TV volume didn’t work and maintenance never came up to look at it. The only good thing about this place was that the bed sheets were clean and they had lots of grassy areas to walk your dog. They say online that they’re pet friendly and they provide a bed and bowls for your dog- nothing for us! We even asked and nothing was brought to the room. Absolute worst place. Please don’t let the positive reviews sway you to stay here, cause we did that and it was a horrible mistake. We complained at check out but no one wanted to hear the concerns. Spend your money to stay in Flagstaff at another hotel- you’ll be thankful.

The room we stayed in was a single suite, with a kitchenette. The room was dated with different sheen paint on the walls. You could see all the touch up spots in the walls since they used a satin over flat. Our closet had two random baseboard or corner moldings in it taking up the area to put clothes in. The couch was terrible warn out. See pic. The hot tub was under construction the entire stay and this was a big factor in staying here. No one told us it was broken even at check in. Outside the room the upstairs landing was in dire need of a pressure wash. Absolutely filthy entrance. Parking gets really full on the weekends and you will have to park all the way in the front if you come in late. I would not stay here again.

I'm not sue what hotel others are reviewing. But the room was terrible, We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. We were greeted with piles of bird droppings at the door the the room and it just got worse from there. The entire place was dirty and hasn't looked like it had been cleaned is quite some time. See pictures. Water damage in the shower, paint peeling off of the wall, dirty baseboards, dirty floors and dirty air return. As for the A/c, we when arrived it was set at 68 and the rooms were not even cold. That should have been a red flag. We figured this is Flag, it will cool off and we would not need the A/C. We were wrong. The air flow in the bedroom was non-existent. We had to sleep with the doors open to get any air flow and it still was not very comfortable. I spent a sweaty night with little sleep. At least the beds and towels were clean. Did I mention the tiny toilet in the bathroom. Those went out of style years ago.
