The Hyatt Place Flagstaff offers a convenient location and generally positive guest experiences, frequently praised for friendly staff and a comfortable stay. However, recurring concerns include inconsistent breakfast quality, parking fees, and noise issues, particularly relating to room location and HVAC systems.
We had the best time at the Hyatt Place in Flagstaff!!! The best part was breakfast!! Breakfast was the best because of the attendant working the breakfast!! I wish we would have gotten his name!! He was super friendly and helpful!! He gave us tips of things to do while in town like to go to the Mars hiking trail to see the sunset, it was awesome!!! He gave our daughter a fist bump and brightened our day!! Thank you breakfast attendant, you are awesome!!! Everyone else was also very friendly and happy to help at all times!! I think the good vibes from the staff were contagious because even the guests at the hotel we crossed paths with were friendly and talkative!! When we were leaving, the front desk attendant gave us some water for the road!! We can't wait to go back!!
New hotel in quiet location. Have to pay for parking, so don't be surprised. Nice room, nice tv quiet stay. Had walk in shower which we like. Breakfast was barley warm, I miss when they used to make breakfast sandwiches. Appreciate having a bar. Good price for location.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process smooth and enjoyable. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed that made it easy to unwind after a long day. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful amenities, such as the large work desk and the cozy seating area, which made it feel more like a home away from home. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful surprise, offering a variety of fresh options that catered to all tastes. The coffee was excellent, and the dining area was bright and inviting, perfect for starting the day. Additionally, the location was ideal—close to major attractions and dining options, yet still offering a peaceful atmosphere. I also enjoyed the fitness center, which was well-equipped and maintained. Overall, my stay at the Hyatt Place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I can't wait to return!
Everything about this place was great! The service was wonderful during check in and check out as was the gal helping with breakfast. Our room was clean and perfect for our family. We also enjoyed the pool, which was a nice addition to our stay. The breakfast was delicious both mornings, with plenty of options for all. The location is perfect too. Yes, parking does cost, but they're up front about it on their website and at checkin. Yes, the breakfast *can* cost, but if you become a world of hyatt member it should be free. Kids 5 and under are free for breakfast too.
1. Parking lot lights shining directly into our room and no 2nd shade to blackout, only mini blinds - terrible. 2. Room was super noisy because tile throughout only (no carpet) so hallway noise piped directly into our room. 3. Train noise can’t be helped because of location. This is the 3rd time we have stayed on ski trips at this hotel, switching from Holiday Inn Express, and, after getting a particularly noisy room last time on the side of the hotel with the train tracks and a noisy heater, this time we specifically requested a quiet room and this is what we got.
The room was beautiful! It looked brand new, and the beds were very comfortable. Big TV with basic cable. Only problem was breakfast. When we checked in last night the gentleman told us breakfast would be open around 8:00 until 10:30 usually. Got up this morning, took a shower and went downstairs at 9am and as I tried to enter the breakfast bar at 9:01 I was told breakfast was closed and I was turned away. There was food still out on the cooktops and plenty of it but I was not allowed to enter. The young lady blocked my way and told me it was closed. All I got was a cup of coffee. I tried to explain what I had been told the night before but the young lady refused me and said too late and they were closed. Nothing was even loaded onto her cart yet. The couple that came behind me were turned away too. There was definitely some miscommunication between the evening shift and day shift because I would have come earlier if I had known. It's a shame so much food was left and not being able to get even a small plate. The rooms are too expensive for that kind of service. Front desk was nice and they offered to look into it at check out but I dont know if I'll go back.
Stayed here for a night with our family. We got a nice clean room with 2 queen beds & a sectional couch that pulled out into a full bed. We had a tv with cable & chrome cast so we can watch any apps through our phones. It included a microwave, mini fridge, blow dryer, make up wipes removers, etc. The lobby was clean & modern. They had a 24 hour mini connivence store, bar/resteraunt, free breakfast & even a mini starbucks inside! All for only 112 for the night, if we were members it would of been 85. It was very affordable. Staff was beyond exceptional. Very friendly! Most importantly when we left my husband got a call they found an apple watch in our room while cleaning it & we were very appreciative that the housekeeper brought it to the front desk & they called. They were very honest & we appreciated it! Highly recommend & will be back!!
Worst stay at a Hyatt, probably will never stay at one again. the room was fine and staff was friendly. a couple of negatives that pushed my review: Breakfast: breakfast is $11 per person for what is free at every other hotel i’ve been to. if it would have been some higher quality breakfast i would have understood, but it was just a regular hotel breakfast. i’m not going to pay $33 for my 3 toddlers to eat 4 bites of something. pool: having three toddlers, the pool was a big attraction to staying here. i called ahead and made sure it was open and heated, which i was assured it was. arrived and the pool is open, but not heated… in the middle of winter. was too cold for us to even get in, my son got in for a few minutes before getting out shivering. we told the staff about it and they said they would come check on it, and no one ever came after 30+ minutes of sitting around waiting. I would highly advise to stay somewhere else if you are coming to Flagstaff.
Great stay overall. The hotel is clean, modern, and very comfortable, with spacious rooms and a quiet atmosphere. Staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and the entire stay smooth. The location is convenient for visiting downtown Flagstaff and as a base for trips to the Grand Canyon and nearby attractions. A reliable and comfortable choice, however, one thing to note: parking is not free iirc.
Great location. Responsive and cheerful staff. Easy walk into historic downtown. Rooms are a decent size and clean. Breakfast was typical Hyatt, simple and tasty. I did not use the pool or fitness room, but they looked in good condition. The $8 a day for parking was a little surprise. Lots of big dogs on the property which is a disappointment for someone like myself who has bad allergies. Unfortunately, since covid, this seems to have become the normal everywhere.
